WJF 2013, part 2: Dezron Douglas' Jazz Workshop and Bugge ‘N’ Friends

Below is our second set of HD videos from Winter Jazzfest NYC 2013.

The first shows Dezron Douglas' Jazz Workshop with
Dezron Douglas, bass
Lummie Spann, alto sax
Josh Evans, trumpet
David Bryant, piano
Chris Beck, drums

If you like electronic dance music, check out the three videos below with excerpts from the Bugge ‘N’ Friends show at (Le) Poisson Rouge, which combines electronic music and jazz. We especially liked band leader Bugge Wesseltoft on the Rhodes, one of our favorite instruments. Check out part 3 about 11 minutes 30 seconds in, where he does some crazy stuff on the Rhodes. It was also great to see NuBlu founder Ilhan Ersahin on the sax again; we posted a video of him last year when he played at DeKalb market with King Britt.

Musicians include:
Bugge Wesseltoft, grand piano, rhodes, synthesizer
Erik Truffaz, trumpet
Ilhan Ersahin, sax
Joaquin “Joe” Claussell, beats/electronic & organic percussion
Erik Holm, percussion
